Job summary

Army & Air Force Exchange Service in Alaska is seeking a Roving Store Worker – Express to provide expert customer service across self-checkout and express lanes on base.

You will greet customers, listen to needs, offer appropriate products, complete transactions accurately, and help create a welcoming, helpful team environment.

This on-base role comes with flexible scheduling and benefits, including access to installation facilities and DoD employee status.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Able to learn current technology and POS systems.

So what can you expect as a Roving Store Worker – Express at the Exchange?

• Greet every customer with eye contact and smile in your authentic way.
• Responsible for multiple self-checkout registers while driving outstanding customer experience through proactive and customer focused actions and exceptional service. May assist with regular checkout stations as needed.
• Acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive to the Express to let them know you’ll be right with them.
• Listen to customer needs; ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate products that meet the specific need of the customer.
• Ensure customers have an extraordinary experience while shopping.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation.

Job Qualifications

Education: High school or equivalent. Creditable job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a 9-month for 9-month basis.
