Job summary

United States Sugar Corporation is seeking an Assistant Roving Operator to monitor Boiling House operations on rotating shifts, including overtime, weekends and holidays. The role requires working independently with minimal supervision, performing inspections, maintenance, lubrication and equipment adjustments.

You will support the Juice Clarification & Mud Processing Operator and CCR Operator, and may step in as understudy as skills progress.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and pass company tests for basic skills and suitability.
• Drug test and background screening required before employment.
• Must read, write and speak English to understand instructions and communicate safely.
• Must be able to obtain forklift, skid steer and man-lift certifications within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Boiling House operations on rotating shifts with overtime as needed.
• Perform maintenance inspections, breakdowns, cleanouts and lubrication rounds.
• Operate and monitor heavy equipment and process motors, belts and pumps.
• Coordinate with related operators and shift manager to ensure safe, efficient operation.
