The position involves operating a large loader, inspecting equipment, and performing minor repairs. Candidates must pass drug/background checks, obtain forklift/skid steer certifications within 30 days, and follow safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must pass basic skills and mechanical aptitude tests.
• Must be 18+ with a good work record and disciplinary history.
• Must read, write and speak English to understand instructions, radios, and safety rules.
• New hires must pass a drug test and background screening.
• Must obtain forklift and skid steer certification within 30 days of employment.
• Physically able to perform all essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate a large wheel loader (>8 cubic yards) to move bagasse and materials as directed.
• Conduct equipment inspections (fluids, tires, belts, filters) and document results.
• Operate various heavy equipment as needed in assigned locations.
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance (refueling, lubrication, parts replacement, cleaning).
• Abide by company policies and safety regulations; complete trainings and certifications.
• Ensure safe distribution of bagasse to maintain continuous fuel supply to boilers.
