Job summary

UNITED STATES SUGAR MANUFACTURING in Clewiston, FL seeks a skilled operator to monitor the Boiling House and support clarification and mud processing operations. This rotating shift role requires independent work, adherence to safety protocols, and participation in maintenance rounds.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, process monitoring, and collaboration with CCR, Roving, and maintenance staff.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older and pass tests on basic skills and mechanics.
New hires must pass drug test and background screening.
Must have physical ability to perform essential functions and be in good health.
Must have a good work record and be able to read/write/speak English.
Must be able to obtain forklift, skid steer and man-lift certification within 30 days.
Basic mechanical skills with wrenches are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Monitor Boiling House operations and supervise with minimal supervision.
Conduct scheduled maintenance inspections, breakdowns, cleanouts, and lubrication rounds.
Operate forklifts, man-lift, skid-steer and other heavy equipment as needed.
Measure and monitor pH, conductivity, and Brix in process streams.
Coordinate clarification operations with other operators and shift staff.
Relieve other operators as needed and assist in field or control room operations.
