Ideal candidates hold EPA Universal or Type I/II HVAC certification, can report on short notice, and have strong communication with residents and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, locks, painting, and grounds.
• Diagnose problems and complete repairs to meet quality standards.
• Respond to service requests quickly to honor the 48-Hour Service Guarantee.
• Support on-site teams and step in as lead in the manager's absence.
• Coordinate with residents and managers to ensure minimal disruption.

Job description

Our Roving Maintenance Technicians provide support to the Regional Maintenance Managers and the Maintenance Managers at the communities they are assigned to support while assuming a leadership role in their absence. They provide quality service to our residents, diagnose problems, and make repairs. They are responsible for routine and preventative maintenance repairs, as well as ensuring that Venterra's 48-Hour Service Guarantee is adhered to when completing service requests.

The ideal candidate for this role will require EPA Universal or Type I or II HVAC certification, have the flexibility to report on short notice to our neighboring Jacksonville, Florida Communities with reliable transportation and effective verbal communication skills with residents and team members.

The Roving Maintenance Technician’s role requires a wide range of various maintenance needs to assist on-site maintenance teams in the day-to-day operations of their properties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance:

• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Appliance Repair
• Locks & Keys
• Painting and Drywall Repair
• Janitorial, Grounds

Requirements of the Position:

• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
• Excellent customer service skills are a must
• Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field
• On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays; Required as needed
• Ability to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner
• Reliable vehicle
• Responsible for supporting multiple communities
