Job summary

Venterra Realty is seeking a Roving Maintenance Technician in the Tampa region to support daily maintenance operations and lead the maintenance team. This role covers repairs, preventative maintenance, and service requests while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will assist with vendor oversight, move-in readiness, and on-call coverage, ensuring apartments are ready for new residents and that all systems operate efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in multifamily property maintenance or facilities management.
• HVAC certification required; CPO certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Lifting/carrying of supplies and equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders promptly with quality service and adherence to guarantees.
• Perform maintenance and repairs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances and exterior structures.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance for equipment, tools and common areas.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in daily operations.
• Prepare vacants for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning and ensuring functionality per TQMR program.
• Work independently while following company standards and maintain resident satisfaction.
• Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
• Support the team with other duties to maintain resident satisfaction.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Roving Maintenance Technician supports daily maintenance operations, ensuring all systems and equipment function efficiently. This roleassistswith repairs, preventativemaintenance, and service requests while upholding safety and quality standards. Additionally, they help lead the maintenance team, oversee vendor work, and ensure apartment homes are move-in ready.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete resident work orders promptly, ensuring quality service and adherence to the 24- and 48- hourguarantees whereapplicable.
• Perform maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep equipment, tools, andcommon areasin top condition.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in daily operations.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features are in working order per our Total Quality Make Ready (TQMR) program as needed.
• Work independently while following company standards,demonstratingattention to detail, andmaintaininga commitment to resident satisfaction.
• Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
• Support the team with other duties as needed tomaintainresident satisfaction and property standards.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Proven experience in multifamily property maintenance, facilities management, ora relatedfield.
• HVAC certificationrequired; CPO certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability toworkflexible schedules, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.):
