Job summary

Venterra Realty is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee property maintenance, drive preventative maintenance, and mentor the team. The role requires strong troubleshooting across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances, with a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leading the maintenance staff, managing inspections, and coordinating with vendors on repairs and capital projects. Equal opportunity employer; on-call rotation may be required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in multifamily maintenance or related field.
• Leadership experience and ability to train and mentor staff.
• HVAC certification required; CPO certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.).

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ADA, Fair Housing, and other safety regulations while identifying and addressing hazards.
• Monitor budgets, control inventory, and coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and capital projects.
• Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
• Support the team with other duties as needed to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Maintenance Manager oversees property maintenance, ensuring efficient repairs, safety, and quality standards. This role troubleshoots issues, leads preventativemaintenance, and mentors the team. Additionally, they collaborate with property leadership to improve operations and enhance the resident experience.
