Job summary

Red River Credit Union (RRCU) seeks a Roving Loan Processor/MSR to support multiple branches by handling loans and opening new memberships. The role involves travel to branches, greeting members, data entry, credit checks, disbursements, and coordinating with Loan Officers and Branch Managers to keep processes running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in loan or member service in a credit union or similar financial institution.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and standard office equipment.
• Must be professional, neat in appearance, and able to interact well with people.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various branch locations, as assigned, to assist when short-staffed.
• Greet members as they enter the lobby in an outgoing, courteous manner.
• Prepare loans for Loan Officer; input applicant information, run credit reports, print queues, and pull-up NADA value.
• Book loans and ensure the proper disbursement of proceeds.
• Set-up direct deposit allocations for loan payments.
• Process loans on computer and update loan data.
• Answer phone inquiries regarding loans, NADA values, and calls to Loan Officer and/or Branch Manager.
• Forward approved loans to Quality Control and denied loans to the Loan Committee.
• Cross-sell every product and service as needed to meet the financial needs of the individual member.
• Review membership applications for approval; open and provide information on all credit union account types.
• Assist members with direct deposits, IRAs, CDs, check orders, address changes, automatic transfer, wire transfers and other financial needs.
• Instruct members on use of Audio Response System, Home Banking, Bill Payer, plastic services and Moneyline transfers.
• Prints and reviews member statements or account histories, counsels members regarding activity of their accounts.
• Make corrections to accounts as needed; alert to fraud warnings and detect/avoid fraudulent activity.
• Assist with various branch duties as needed.
• Adhere to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Perform clerical work for loans and open new Credit Union memberships.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience in the loan and/or member service department of a credit union or equivalent experience with similar financial institutions.
• High school diploma or the equivalent, with some college preferred.
• Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
• Ability to meet, speak and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
• Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
