Job summary

The Community Builders (TCB) seeks a Service Technician III in Edina, MN to handle apartment interior and exterior maintenance, grounds, and on-call duties. This roving lead tech role requires five in-office days weekly and strong building trade skills.

You will guide junior techs, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely repairs and safety compliance across properties in the region.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; trade school or certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of advanced hands-on repair experience in three or more building trades.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Special boiler license required; industry certifications (NAHMS/CAMT/OSHA/HVAC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting; basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly as directed by management.
• Monitor or perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment and components.
• Prepare repairs for vacant apartments for new move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces, including cleaning, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Prepare and repair for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Maintain maintenance shop and inventory with safety mindset and PPE.
