Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) is seeking a Service Technician III Lead Tech who will respond to service requests, perform apartment turnover, and maintain property with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Five years of hands-on repair across multiple building trades are required, with REAC/HQS experience preferred; high school diploma or trade training is necessary. Join a growing nonprofit real estate team in a hands-on maintenance role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of advanced hands-on repair in three or more building trades.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Industry certifications (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and complete vendor preventive maintenance for building systems and components.
• Prepare repairs for vacant apartments for new residents.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces through cleaning, trash management, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Prepare and repair for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Maintain maintenance shop and inventory with PPE and safety practices.
• Weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency duties as needed.
• Support Maintenance Supervisor with guidance to Tech I and II.
• Assist with contractor/vendor management.
