Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Kitchen Manager for an elementary campus. The role oversees food preparation, staff supervision, and HACCP compliance, ensuring recipes, portions, and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include production planning, training, payroll approvals, and maintaining strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. Requires ServSafe Manager certification within 6 months and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must annually complete USDA Mandatory Professional Standards training hours.
• Responsible for production management and daily production reports to ensure compliance and optimal portions.
• Maintains food costs and inventory to meet Labor and Profit goals.
• Strong leadership to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and delegate in a school kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall kitchen operations and staff supervision.
• Ensure all staff complete required Professional Standards training.
• Maintain sanitation and HACCP practices and health inspections.
• Approve payroll, staffing, and attendance with district/admin.
