Job summary

Bellwether Housing in Seattle seeks a Maintenance Technician II to join the Facilities Management team. You will complete apartment and property maintenance tasks across Bellwether properties, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, renovations, and unit preparations.

The role requires two years of maintenance experience, a valid Washington driver's license, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to work on a non-traditional schedule with on-site roving duties.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience in property management or related field.
• Valid Washington state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Must read/write/speak English.
• Technical/Mechanical certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with Property Managers & Maintenance Supervisor to review work orders and unit turn schedules.
• Apply fair housing guidelines when entering occupied units and interacting with residents.
• Maintain tenant and staff confidentiality.
• Apply knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repair to diagnose and complete routine maintenance.
• Prepare vacant units for re-renting in a timely manner.
• Communicate material needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and Bellwether standards.
