Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Router to join our distribution team. This individual contributor role focuses on creating and managing delivery routes, calculating times, and adjusting plans for drivers and customers, typically on a Sunday through Thursday schedule.

You will use Roadnet and other routing systems, ensuring DOT compliance, accuracy, and cost efficiency while collaborating with drivers, sales, warehouse and customer service to support reliable, timely delivery of goods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years distribution/logistics experience.
• Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Establish cost-effective routes compliant with Federal DOT guidelines.
• Establish routing procedures for optimal use of personnel and equipment.
• Perform Roadnet routing maintenance daily for accuracy and timeliness.
• Produce driver manifest and KPI reports on schedule.
• Recap and adjust routes based on actual results.
