Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate delivery operations and drive efficient scheduling across routes. You will communicate with truck drivers via computers and phones to assign trucks, ensure timely departures and arrivals, and respond to driver questions with accurate information.

In this role, you will interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, supporting the company’s logistics and distribution work while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and efficient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years dispatch and commercial driver experience or related area.

Responsibilities

• Dispatchers keep track of drivers' progress along their route using available technology.
• Check drivers in and out of terminals and transfer trip records into company files.
• Communicate daily with drivers, handle requests and complaints from customers.
• Calculate miles for all trucks.
• Determine travel and route times to set delivery costs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
