Job summary

HP Hood, a leading food and beverage manufacturer based in Concord, NH, is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to lead site drivers and the Distribution/Transportation team. You will collaborate with drivers on audits, training, and safety programs while ensuring on-time performance.

The role requires a CDL-A, experience in route planning and safety, and knowledge of DOT regulations. You will monitor routes, manage fleet needs, and act as a back-up driver when needed, with some on-road duties.

Qualifications

• CDL-A required.
• Experience in route structuring, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Proven knowledge of DOT, FMCSA and HOS regulations and distribution safety management.
• Prior experience in supervising commercial drivers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to HP Hood site drivers and the Distribution/Transportation Department.
• New Hire trainings to include at least two ride alongs a week.
• Minimum of 50% of work schedule will be on the road conducting audits and trainings.
• Assist the team in all aspects of promoting the company safety program, immediately identifying, and eliminating risks and driving safe work habits and behaviors.
• Assist Distribution Management on all motor vehicle accident reports and conduct injury reporting and investigations.
• Provide daily updates to internal and external customers on an as needed basis.
• Monitor route times
• Participate in investigations and assist to resolve customer complaints as needed.
• Assist in management of company fleet needs and equipment repairs.
• Maintain DOT, HOS, and FMCSA compliance.
• Function as a back-up to drive routes in the event of a driver call out.
• Other duties as assigned.
