Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to lead site drivers and manage the Distribution/Transportation team. You will drive safety, efficiency, and compliance across DOT/HOS rules while coordinating audits, trainings, and route planning.

Ideal candidates will have CDL-A and supervisory experience, with strong communication skills and a proven track record in safety and customer satisfaction. On-site role requires hands-on leadership and collaboration with logistics staff.

Qualifications

• CDL-A required with knowledge of DOT, FMCSA and HOS regulations.
• Experience in route structuring, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Supervisory experience with commercial drivers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to HP Hood site drivers and the Distribution/Transportation Department.
• Lead new hire trainings, including two ride-alongs per week.
• Spend at least 50% of time on the road conducting audits and trainings.
• Promote company safety program and identify and mitigate risks.
• Assist with motor vehicle accident reports and injury investigations.
• Provide daily updates to customers as needed.
• Monitor route times and assist with customer complaints resolution.
• Support fleet needs and equipment repairs.
• Maintain SQF/food safety documentation and GMP measures.
• Backup drive routes during driver absences.
