Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an energetic Route Supervisor in Columbia, SC, to lead a team of Route Service Managers and drivers. You will coach, train, and develop the team while driving local sales growth and ensuring safe, compliant daily operations.

Responsibilities include scheduling, reporting, and maintaining vehicle readiness. You will maintain client relationships, support ride-alongs, and help meet performance goals in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in sales, customer service, and delivery; sales management a plus.
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
• Familiar with route planning software and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor drivers to excel in customer service and meet goals.
• Partner with leadership to set route targets and coach on sales opportunities.
• Manage route scheduling and distribute daily reports with the site manager.
• Ensure DOT, state, and federal compliance with company policies.
• Provide hands-on support with ride-alongs and loading/unloading as needed.

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving sales, coaching teams, and delivering exceptional customer experiences? We are looking for an energetic Route Supervisor to manage, train, and inspire our team of Route Service Managers (RSMs) and drivers. In this role, you’ll lead from the front, grow our local customer base, and ensure smooth, safe daily operations.

What You Bring

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: 2+ years of hands‑on experience in sales, customer service, and delivery. Prior sales management experience is a big plus!
• Skills: Excellent communication, coaching, and time management abilities. Comfortable with basic math, computers, and route planning software.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of carrier operations, shipment routing, distribution methods, and commerce regulations.
• Licensing & Driving: Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to operate motor vehicles (and forklifts, as needed).

salary: $64,999 - $65,000 per year

• Hands‑on Support: Conduct regular ride‑alongs to provide constructive feedback, hop behind the wheel when needed (covering routes or hot shots), and assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Build Relationships: Maintain direct contact with clients to gather feedback, ensure top‑tier service, and foster long‑term partnerships.
