Job summary

UniFirst is hiring a Route Service Supervisor in Durham to lead a team of Route Service Representatives and ensure top-tier service for a diverse customer base.

You will train staff, respond to requests, negotiate renewals, and build strong customer relationships while coordinating with other leaders to deliver effective product programs. This role entails covering routes when needed and driving loyalty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college is a plus.
• 21 years of age and valid non-commercial driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation and ability to meet DOT physical requirements.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and language skills; basic computer proficiency.
• Prior leadership, customer service, route sales or delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training and development of a team of Route Service Representatives.
• Respond to service requests and negotiate customer contract renewals.
• Build strong relationships with customers and the internal team.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure top customer service and programs.
• Provide route coverage when a rep is unavailable and monitor performance & loyalty.
