Job summary

Interstate Batteries in the United States seeks a Route Delivery Driver to deliver batteries and provide exceptional customer service to a predetermined route of customers and dealers within your territory.

You will grow route sales through outstanding service, establish and maintain dealer relationships, handle consignment programs, invoice units, collect payments, and perform loading/unloading while following safety rules; this role requires lifting 50+ lbs and a valid CDL.

Qualifications

• Must possess DOT Medical Certification and maintain a clean driving record.
• CDL Class A or B may be required depending on equipment operated.
• Prior driving and customer service experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and strong customer service skills are essential.
• High school diploma or GED is required; ability to read, write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Deliver batteries and provide service to each dealer on your route in a timely manner.
• Establish, build and maintain good dealer relationships; manage consignment programs to boost sales.
• Invoice units that fail to last warranty period and collect payments when due.
• Load and unload the truck and rotate batteries to maintain quality and service standards.
• Keep dealer lists up to date, maintain displays, and complete documentation promptly.
