Job summary

US Foods is seeking a route scheduler to sequence and optimize routes using RoadNet and related systems. The role operates Sunday to Thursday from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM and offers a hourly base rate with weekly pay based on experience.

Responsibilities include routing trucks, balancing trailer loads, coordinating with Sales and Warehouse, and generating daily reports. Strong computer skills and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must have computer skills - data entry, general report generation, spreadsheet design, data manipulation, mainframe downloads.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Ability to work scheduled hours and any required overtime.

Responsibilities

• Schedule routes by matching customer orders to loads using specified software.
• Balance loads per trailer by size and weight of product and pallets.
• Build cost effective routes while meeting customer needs.
• Work with Sales and Warehouse to determine delivery feasibility.
• Prepare daily reports such as route changes, sequence change requests, and new customer requests.
• Maintain routing software parameters (RoadNet and Mainframe).
