Gold Star Foods is seeking a Router/Dispatcher to plan and coordinate routing for delivery trucks, ensuring efficient use of fleet and timely customer service. The role entails creating daily route schedules, coordinating stops, and updating plans as needed.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent or greater education.
• 2+ years' related experience in routing, scheduling, or logistics.
• Experience with routing software such as RoadNet/Omnitracs/NAV is preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Plan the delivery routes for drivers to optimize truck use and meet delivery demands.
• Incorporate customer delivery times and unloading needs into routing schedules to reduce costs.
• Determine efficient cubic utilization of truck space and route assignments.
• Prepare loading and driver sheets with clear daily stops for each driver.
• Identify backhaul opportunities and assign to appropriate drivers.
• Review and update routes from the previous day to improve efficiency.
