Job summary

The role requires routing software proficiency, strong map-reading skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced office environment. Evening/weekend shifts may be needed seasonally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of experience in logistics, routing, dispatching, transportation coordination, shipping, or a related operational environment.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong geographic knowledge and the ability to interpret maps, routing software, and transportation systems.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize daily delivery and pickup routes using routing software to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Monitor route performance and make real-time adjustments for traffic, issues, or changes.
• Maintain accurate customer, delivery, routing, and transportation data in company systems.
• Serve as primary contact for drivers, answering questions and resolving concerns.
• Coordinate with shipping, customer service, production, and transportation teams to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
• Prepare and maintain routing reports, manifests, and related transportation records.
• Identify opportunities to improve routing efficiency and service levels.
• Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and other administrative duties.
• Support seasonal peak operations, including occasional evenings or weekends.
• Maintain compliance with policies, safety standards, and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
