Job summary

Green Zone Recycling in Durham, NC is seeking a Route Manager to plan and manage efficient collection routes for our drivers. You will use routing software and operational data to optimize schedules, boost productivity, reduce costs, and maintain excellent customer service.

The role requires routing/logistics experience, strong computer skills (Microsoft Office), and superb organization. We offer a full-time position with a Monday–Friday schedule, competitive pay, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in routing, logistics, transportation, or dispatch operations.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize daily driver routes.
• Create and maintain driver schedules.
• Monitor route performance and driver progress.
• Analyze operational metrics and report results to management.
• Investigate and resolve route discrepancies or service issues.
• Utilize routing software such as Route4Me, Samsara, or similar systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve routing efficiency and operational processes.
• Perform data entry and administrative tasks.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, management, and customers.
