Job summary

Johnson Brothers is a third-generation, family-owned wine, beer, and spirits distributor. The Merchandiser helps stock shelves, rotate back stock, and build displays while ensuring pricing and POS materials are correctly displayed. Daily routes come from the Warehouse/Merchandising Manager.

Strong communication and organization are essential for meeting goals within designated territories. Requires a high school diploma and warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education – High School diploma required.
• Experience – 1 year of warehouse experience is preferred, inventory control experience a plus.
• Fork Lift certification is also a benefit.
• Lift and carry a 40+ pound case of wine.
• Work flexible hours which include early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work alone as well as within a team structure.
• Goal oriented, focused, and assertive individual who needs little direction or supervision.
• Proven track record of strong sales in previous/current work experience.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal talents which will enhance existing customer and key retailer relationships.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to accounts and check them in to accounts.
• Rotate back stock and stock shelves to ensure product availability.
• Place product on shelves or in displays for maximum exposure.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed per standards and pricing and POS materials are visible.
• Travel within established geographic areas as necessary.
• Maintain accurate daily and weekly logs of accounts visited for management review.
