Texas Disposal Systems is seeking a Route Helper to support Residential Drivers in delivering efficient, safe, and compliant service. You will help verify routes, maintain PPE and vehicle cleanliness, and communicate effectively with the driver and dispatch to ensure timely operations.

The role requires independent work, basic math, and fluent English, with computer aptitude for fleet software. Weekend and holiday shifts are available to meet operation needs.

Qualifications

• Must work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic math ability.
• Verbal and written fluency in English.
• Demonstrate at least minimal computer aptitude.

Responsabilités

• Assist driver by reading notes and discussing the day’s route as needed.
• Assist in collecting the route as sequenced on route sheet or fleet routing software; note problems or changes.
• Ensure the truck is clean and well-maintained before leaving the facility.
• Work productively, safely, and maintain a courteous, professional demeanor.
• Must be available for shifts on weekends and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

A Route Helper assists the Residential Driver with ensuring the route is run efficiently, productively, and safely and in compliance with applicable governmental regulations pertaining to trucking and waste operations. This position will provide courteous, professional service to all customers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Report to work at designated times in proper company uniform and with required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

2. Know and understand driving hand signals.Assist in examining route sheets, identifying new stops and stops not on route.

3. Assist driver with reading notes from Residential Supervisor or Dispatch and discuss the day's route as needed.

4. Assist in the collection of the route as sequenced on the route sheet and/or fleet routing software, noting sequencing problems or changes and recording them on fleet routing software.

5. Ensure the truck is clean and well-maintained before leaving the TDS facility.

6. Work productively and safely and behave courteously and professionally.

7. Must be available for shifts scheduled on weekends and holidays.

8. Other duties as assigned.
