Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Route Floater in Warren, OH for a full-time role. You will load, drive, deliver, and service client locations, and assist with routes as needed.

The position requires maintaining product inventory, proper refrigeration, and professional customer interactions while supporting a reliable operations team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Outgoing personality with product promotion skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle is loaded with all products to service locations.
• Drive to transport products to client locations.
• Fill in for Service or Delivery Routes as needed.
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested.
• Stock shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
• Maintain refrigeration of all cold products in truck and accounts.
• Oversee ordering and inventory control.
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise.
• Handle cash from machines.
• Communicate professionally with customers and AVI team.

Route Floater

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Fill in for Service Routes or Delivery Routes as needed
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
