Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a friendly, hard-working Route Floater for full-time employment. Founded in 1960, AVI Foodsystems delivers high-quality food services with an emphasis on service and value.

The role involves loading vehicles, delivering to client locations, and maintaining equipment and stock at accounts. Applicants must be 21+, possess a valid non-CDL license with a clean driving record, and be able to pass a DOT physical.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required) and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members.
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle is loaded with products needed to service locations.
• Drive to transport products and food to client locations.
• Fill in for service or delivery routes as needed.
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested.
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
• Ensure refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts.
• Oversee ordering of merchandise and control inventory.
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise.
• Collect money from machines.
• Communicate positively with customers by eye contact and smiles.
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts.
• Manage care of the company vehicle.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Fill in for Service Routes or Delivery Routes as needed
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
