Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service in Nebraska's Omaha area is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes, supporting daily delivery operations with flexibility. You'll cover varying routes and schedules while maintaining safety and service standards.

Requirements include being at least 21 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
