Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. seeks a Route Driver to represent the company while delivering and picking up freight. You will load the truck efficiently, verify shipments, and report issues promptly to uphold service quality.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime potential and wage starting at $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for advancement in Des Moines, IA.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
