Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while maintaining safety, service, and delivery standards.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday starting at 7:30 AM, with 10–15 hours of overtime per week and optional weekend OT. Starting wage is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck to maximize space and protect packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify contents of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
