Job description

Our company is seeking Route Drivers (CDL Class B) to be located in our Charlotte, NC facility.

The Class B Route Driver operates a commercial vehicle, typically a 28’ box truck or flat-bed truck with a Class B commercial driver's license (CDL), to transport goods along designated routes. Responsibilities include ensuring the safe and timely delivery of items, adhering to traffic laws and company policies, and maintaining accurate delivery records.

Route Driver Responsibilities

1. Safe Vehicle Operations: Drive box trucks responsibly, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and report mechanical issues promptly.
2. Delivery and Pickup: Transport goods to destinations, deliver items on time, tarp loads when needed, load/unload cargo, and maintain delivery records.
3. Route Planning: Drive efficient routes, use GPS, communicate with dispatchers, and document activities electronically.
4. Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, maintain a positive company image.
5. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and coordinate repairs as needed.
6. Additional Duties: Perform other assigned tasks.

Route Driver Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid CDL Class B with appropriate endorsements
• Preferred: 2+ years of relevant experience
• Clean driving record
• Flexible work hours
