Job summary

Healthcare Linen Services Group in Memphis, TN seeks an on-site CDL-qualified driver to operate the company truck, pick up and deliver hospital linen across multiple facilities, load and unload carts, and maintain professional customer relationships. You will perform pre/post route inspections, ensure DOT compliance, and follow hours-of-service rules.

The role requires excellent attendance, the ability to work nights and weekends, and a safety-first attitude.

Qualifications

  • Must have valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record.
  • Six months to one year of driving experience.
  • Able to drive nights and weekends and meet route schedules.
  • Able to sit in a vehicle for several hours and lift 25 pounds overhead.
  • Able to push/pull carts up to 800 pounds and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

  • Operate company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen to facilities.
  • Load and unload laundry carts and maintain organized work areas.
  • Establish professional relationships with customers and provide quality service.
  • Perform pre and post route inspections and maintain DOT compliance.
  • Follow hours of service rules and company procedures.
  • Cross-train on other routes as department needs require.
  • Perform equipment moves to service providers as needed.

Job description

PURPOSE

To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.

JOB SUMMARY

Operate company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. Load and unload laundry carts. Establish professional relationship with customers and provide quality customer service. Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations. Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post route inspections. Maintain DOT compliance and follow hours of service rules. Follow standard vehicle operating procedures.

  • Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit
Additional Responsibilities
  • Cross-train on other routes per department needs
  • Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed
Minimum Requirements
  • Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
  • Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
  • Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
  • Valid Class A driver’s license
  • Must have clean driving record per company policy
  • Have six months to one-year experience
  • Be available to drive nights and weekends
  • Ability to speak and read the English language
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
  • Be able to use repetitive arm motions
