Job summary

LOGAN is seeking a Route Driver Non CDL to operate a company box truck from the Nitro, WV depot. You will deliver clean linen carts and pick up soiled carts at hospitals and medical facilities, with early dispatch at 5:00 AM.

Responsibilities include adhering to routes, performing vehicle inspections, ensuring safety, and maintaining accurate daily paperwork while delivering quality service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Clean driving record per company policy.
• Six months to one year of driving experience preferred.
• Be able to push/pull carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels).
• Be able to lift 25 lbs. overhead.
• Be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day.
• Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day.
• Meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling.
• Available to meet a 5:00 AM dispatch time up to 6 days/week.
• Must be able to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company box truck out of the Nitro, WV depot to deliver and pick up linen carts at hospital and medical facility customers.
• Follow the assigned route sequence and stop order exactly as scheduled.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain DOT compliance and hours-of-service rules.
• Provide professional customer service and maintain professional relationships with customers.
• Complete required daily paperwork/handheld entries for cart counts.

PURPOSE:

To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.

JOB SUMMARY:

Operate a company box truck out of the Nitro, WV depot to deliver clean linen carts and pick up soiled linen carts at assigned hospital and medical facility customers. Depending on route assignment, may run more than one loading trip per day out of the depot (e.g., a split-load route serving one or two facilities in two separate trips). Dispatch from the depot at 5:00 AM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Report for a 4:00 AM load time and meet the 5:00 AM depot dispatch time every scheduled day
• Follow the assigned route sequence and stop order exactly as scheduled
• Safely load and unload linen carts, including multi-trip routes requiring a return to the depot for reload
• Meet the customer's 4-hour delivery window at every stop
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately
• Maintain DOT compliance and follow hours-of-service rules
• Establish a professional relationship with customers and provide quality customer service
• Have excellent attendance and meet established route schedules
• Follow all company safety rules and policies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized vehicle and work area
• Accurately complete required daily paperwork/handheld device entries for cart counts
• Be able to work past the scheduled shift, as delivery issues may arise

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cross-train on other box truck routes at the depot per business needs
• Assist with loading/unloading at the depot as needed outside of route hours

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver's license in good standing;
• Clean driving record per company policy
• Six months to one year of driving experience preferred

• Be able to lift 25 lbs. overhead
• Be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day

• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
• Be available to meet a 5:00 AM dispatch time up to 6 days/week
• Ability to speak and read the English language
