Job summary

nexAir, LLC. in Memphis, TN is seeking a CDL driver to load, deliver and unload cylinders containing compressed gases and related hard goods. You will perform DOT-required inspections, complete necessary documentation, and ensure safety while maintaining strong customer relations.

The role requires Hazmat endorsement, CDL, and the ability to lift heavy loads; overtime may be required. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks and work to meet DOT standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of driving experience.
• CDL A or B with Hazmat endorsement required.
• Clean MVR.
• Able to lift 65 lbs.
• Meet all DOT physical qualification standards.
• Ability to read MSDS.
• Must stand/walk/bend for long periods; handle cylinders weighing up to 600 lbs.
• Overtime flexibility requested.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and unload cylinders safely; return empty cylinders for refilling.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
• Complete all required FDA/DOT documentation.
• Track delivery/pick-up using handheld device and record required data.
• Keep truck clean and compliant with DOT standards.
• Communicate with supervisor about maintenance, issues and delivery efficiency.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations through in-person communication.
• Identify customer needs and manage hard goods and cylinder levels to minimize emergency deliveries.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Strictly observe all safety rules.

Qualifications

• While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on concrete for an extended period of ti me ; bend ; use hands and arms ; and handle cylinders regularly weighing 150 pounds up to a maximum of 600 pounds .
