Job summary

nexAir, LLC in Memphis, TN is seeking a CDL-A/B driver with Hazmat endorsement to safely load, deliver and unload cylinders containing compressed gases and hard goods, and return empties to branch for refilling.

You will perform DOT-compliant pre- and post-trip inspections, complete FDA/DOT paperwork, track deliveries using handheld devices, and operate a forklift or pallet jack as needed while maintaining excellent customer relations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CDL A or B with Hazmat endorsement.
  • Clean MVR and ability to lift 65 lbs repeatedly.
  • Must read and comprehend MSDS documentation.
  • Ability to perform DOT pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Familiarity with FDA/DOT documentation requirements.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load, deliver and unload cylinders containing compressed gases and hard goods; return empties to branch for refilling.
  • Perform all required pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
  • Complete all FDA/DOT required documentation.
  • Track delivery and pick-up of cylinders using handheld device; complete all required steps.
  • Keep truck clean and in DOT-compliant condition.
  • Communicate with supervisor on maintenance, issues, and delivery efficiencies.
  • Build and maintain good customer relations during in-person visits.
  • Identify and manage customer needs to maintain proper cylinder levels and minimize emergency deliveries.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
  • Observing all safety rules.

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • One (1) year driving experience.

  • CDL A or B with Hazmat Endorsement.

  • Clean MVR driving record.

  • Employee must be able to lift 65 lbs.

  • Employee must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT.

  • Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

  • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on concrete for an extended period of time; bend; use hands and arms; and handle cylinders regularly weighing 150 pounds up to a maximum of 600 pounds.

  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.
