Job summary

A reputable logistics company in El Dorado, Arkansas seeks a dedicated delivery driver to ensure safe loading, delivery, and unloading of cylinders containing compressed gases. You will be responsible for performing inspections, maintaining customer relations, and complying with DOT regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a valid CDL A or B with Hazmat Endorsement and have a clean driving record, along with the ability to lift significant weights. This role emphasizes safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• One year of driving experience is required.
• CDL A or B with Hazmat Endorsement is necessary.
• Ability to lift 65 lbs and meet DOT physical standards.
• Able to lift 65 lbs and handle cylinders weighing 150–600 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders and hard goods.
• Perform pre-and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
• Complete FDA/DOT required documentation.
• Track delivery and pick-up of cylinders at customer sites using handheld device and complete all required information/steps during the delivery and pick-up processes.
• Keep truck clean and in line with DOT standards.
• Communicate with supervisor on truck maintenance, customer-related issues, and delivery efficiencies.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations by communicating in person with customers.
• Identify and monitor customers’ needs and work with them to maintain proper hard goods and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.

• Flexibility to work overtime as required.
