Job summary

New York Ag Connection is seeking a reliable Transportation Manager Assistant to support daily transportation operations in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut markets.

The role focuses on route coordination, delivery tracking, communicating with drivers and customers, and maintaining accurate transportation records. A High School Diploma and experience in transportation or warehousing are preferred, with strong communication and problem-solving skills essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics or warehousing.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Foodservice distribution or delivery experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse system.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Transportation Manager daily.
• Monitor delivery progress and communicate delays or changes as needed.
• Assist with daily route scheduling.
• Report promptly any shortages, damages or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with customer service, warehouse, sales and any other departments regarding deliveries.
