Job summary

Staples in Oklahoma City is seeking a Cover Delivery Driver to support route coverage for vacations and absences, delivering office supplies and providing top-notch customer service.

You will transport products safely, load vehicles when needed, follow efficient delivery routes, and uphold safety as a priority while representing Staples on the road.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to pass DOT requirements, English communication, and physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the company.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen (No THC).
• Must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Overtime hours may be required based on business need.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, push/pull up to 400 lbs with assistive devices, and maneuver up to 130 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of route assignments to cover vacations and absences at least 50% of the time.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues; accept product returns as required.
• Transport products safely and deliver office supplies on assigned routes; load vehicles when volume requires.
• Organize and load product for delivery using manifests to optimize routes.
• Maintain safe work practices and embody Staples' safety culture.
