Job summary

MillerKnoll, Inc. is seeking a Wood Rough Mill Operator for the 2nd shift to set up, operate, and monitor rough mill equipment used to process lumber into dimensioned components. You will ensure accuracy, quality, and safety while supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

The role requires reading production schedules, operating multiple saws, and maintaining precise measurements. Join a team focused on efficiency, yield, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic math and measurement skills required.
• Ability to read production schedules and cut lists.
• Proficiency with tape measures, calipers, gauges, and rulers.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate rough mill machinery (rip saws, crosscut saws, gang saws, chop saws, straight-line saws, etc.).
• Inspect lumber for defects and ensure dimensions meet specs.
• Set up and adjust machinery for required dimensions and production standards.
• Monitor performance and adjust to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Record production data and materials tracking as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow LOTO procedures.
