Job summary

Cambria is seeking a detail-oriented machinery operator to run Waterjet/Combi-Cut and saw equipment, perform set-ups, and document material flow. The role requires strict safety, quality, and order accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will also perform preventative maintenance, operate an overhead crane and forklift, and cross-train on multiple equipment types. A high school diploma and mechanical inclination are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience: Mechanically inclined is preferred.
• Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the machinery (Waterjet/Combi-Cut, saw) and ensure it is functioning correctly at all times.
• Perform quality checks as required.
• Interpret blueprint drawings and sketches to plan.
• Set up and operate cutting machinery.
• Document and organize material received, moved, scrapped, and quality verified.
• Visually inspect equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and keep area clean.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Cross-train on multiple types of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

This position is responsible for operating the rough-cut machinery, maintaining the machinery, keeping accurate documentation, and handling material while maintaining safety standards, quality and order accuracy. This will require an individual who is highly detail oriented as well as has the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the machinery (Waterjet/Combi-Cut, saw) as well as monitor and verify it is operating correctly at all times
• Perform quality checks as required
• Interpret blueprint drawings and sketches to plan.
• Responsible for set-up and operation of cutting machinery
• Perform all required documentation and organization for material received, moved, scrapped, and quality verified
• Responsible for the visual inspection of equipment with complex parts, preventative maintenance, as well as area upkeep and cleanliness
• Operate overhead crane and forklift
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Cross-train on multiple types of equipment
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Management

Minimum Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings

• Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 10 hours, with intermittent breaks
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
• Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
• Bend over multiple times throughout shift

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $17.15 - $22.66. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
