Job summary

Cambria FabShop - Cleveland LLC is seeking an machine operator to run rough-cut machinery, monitor performance, and document material handling with strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The role requires precision, ability to read blueprints, and fast-paced work; uniform and PPE are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Waterjet/Combi-Cut and saw machinery and monitor operation.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure product meets specs.
  • Interpret blueprints to plan material cutting.
  • Manage setup and operation of cutting machinery and documentation.

Job description

This position is responsible for operating the rough-cut machinery, maintaining the machinery, keeping accurate documentation, and handling material while maintaining safety standards, quality and order accuracy. This will require an individual who is highly detail oriented as well as has the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate the machinery (Waterjet/Combi-Cut, saw) as well as monitor and verify it is operating correctly at all times
  • Perform quality checks as required
  • Interpret blueprint drawings and sketches to plan.
  • Responsible for set-up and operation of cutting machinery
  • Perform all required documentation and organization for material received, moved, scrapped, and quality verified
  • Responsible for the visual inspection of equipment with complex parts, preventative maintenance, as well as area upkeep and cleanliness
  • Operate overhead crane and forklift
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Cross-train on multiple types of equipment
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Management
Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation
  • Ability to become certified in using an overhead crane
  • Ability to work safely and follow Standard Operating Procedures

Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience: Mechanically inclined is preferred
  • Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 10 hours, with intermittent breaks
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift
Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $17.15 - $22.66. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
