Job summary

Cambria is seeking a production operator to monitor stone processing equipment and ensure quality output in a climate-controlled environment.

Roles include operating the soft/polish line, shifting through block schedules, and cross-training across production areas. We offer medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor the equipment along the soft/polish line to ensure it is running properly and safety standards are adhered to.
  • Complete shift paperwork as assigned.
  • Manage slab inventories using Oracle and Tableau reporting.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Cross train on multiple areas of the production line.
  • Keep Production leadership and other teams updated on information, processes, and issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and stay tour-ready.
  • Adhere to Production SOPs and work safely.
  • Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
  • Inspect finished and raw products for defects against specifications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

This position is responsible for monitoring and operating stone processing equipment, including polishing and soft line machinery to ensure the production of high-quality finished products while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Schedules are made in block and standard schedules. All shift types and schedules are listed below.

Block shifts consist of alternating schedules: one week is 36 hours (Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday) with Sunday paying double time, and the next week is 48 hours (Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday), which includes eight hours of overtime.

A Shift: Block Schedule 5a-5p, 36 hr week and 48 hr week

B Shift: Block Schedule 5a-5p, 36 hr week and 48 hr week

C Shift: Block Schedule 5p-5a, 36 hr week and 48 hr week

D Shift: Block Schedule 5p-5a, 36 hr week and 48 hr week

Our standard other shifts are listed below.

1st Shift: M-F 7 am-3 pm

2nd Shift: M-F 3 pm-11 pm

3rd Shift: Su-Thur and M-F 11 pm-7 am

M-TH Shift: 7 am-5 pm

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor the equipment along the soft/polish line to ensure it is running properly and safety standards are adhered to
  • Complete shift paperwork as assigned
  • Manage slab inventories using Oracle and Tableau reporting
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met
  • Cross train on multiple areas of the production line
  • Keep the Production leadership and the other support groups up to date on important information, processes, and issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Keep work area clean and orderly, maintaining tour readiness 24/7
  • Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
  • Inspect finished and raw products for defects and ensure compliance within established specifications
  • Additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation
  • Ability to become certified in Lockout Tag-Out
  • Ability to become certified in Chemical Handling
  • Ability to become respirator certified
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements
  • Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
  • Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
  • Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift
Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements

  • Respirator (employees who are required to wear a respirator must maintain a clean‑shaven face in the area where the respirator seals to the skin.)
Compensation and Benefits

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $17.15 – $22.66. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This position may be eligible for a 15% shift differential, which would be applied to the base hourly rate for all hours worked during designated overnight shift periods. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job‑related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
