Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Thomaston, GA is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to oversee the maintenance and safety of our rotor-wing fleet. The role focuses on airframe maintenance and timely, high-quality patient transportation services.

Requires 2+ years of turbine helicopter experience, valid A&P license, and FAA regulations knowledge. Includes IA stipend and a $12,500 sign-on bonus. Excellent teamwork and flexible scheduling are needed.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years turbine powered helicopter experience.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid State issued Driver’s License.
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
• EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment and update the equipment tracking log.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Communicate across departments, vendors and team members to coordinate efforts.
