Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Keokuk, IA is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to maintain and ensure safety of our rotor-wing fleet. The AMT will perform inspections, repairs, and document FAA information while coordinating with the Lead Technician and flight crew.

Qualified candidates will have a valid A&P license, two years turbine helicopter experience, a HS diploma, and FAA knowledge. The role requires flexibility, on-call rotations, and commitment to safety and quality patient

Qualifications

• Two years turbine powered helicopter experience.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must pass FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests and document part expenditures.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information per policies and procedures; comply with information security standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Coordinate communications between departments, vendors and team members.
• Collaborate with allied health, public safety personnel, AMTs and operations team.
