Job summary

WAUSAU TILE LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a RotoForm Machine Operator to join its production team. You will set up, operate, and maintain semi-automated plastic molding equipment used to produce site furniture and accessories, ensuring safety and clean work practices.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to follow production schedules, inspect molds, measure materials, and monitor cycles to deliver consistent, high-quality parts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret production paperwork, blueprints, and spec sheets.
• Comfortable with basic mechanical tasks, machine setup, and tool use.
• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and molds according to daily production schedules and specs.
• Operate the RotoForm machine through full molding cycles (heating, rotating, cooling).
• Measure and pour plastic materials into molds and secure mold closures.
• Demold and inspect finished components.
• Perform light assembly or minor modifications.
• Cut excess plastic and process scrap for recycling.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and report issues promptly.

Position Summary:Wausau Tile is currently seeking a RotoForm Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and upkeep of semi-automated plastic molding equipment used to produce high-quality plastic site furniture and accessories. Ideal candidates will be mechanically inclined, detail-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive environment.Key Responsibilities:Machine & Mold Setup:Review daily production schedules and job specifications.Select appropriate molds, tools, jigs, and materials.Secure molds to rotating machine arms using hand tools.Inspect and adjust molds as needed prior to production start-up.Production Operation:Operate the RotoForm machine through full molding cycles (heating, rotating, and cooling).Accurately measure and pour plastic powder or granules into molds.Secure mold closures using cordless or pneumatic tools.Monitor process timing and conditions to maintain product consistency and quality.Demold and inspect finished plastic components.Secondary Duties:Perform minor modifications or light assembly using hand or pneumatic tools.Cut excess plastic using a band saw and process scrap via pneumatic chipper for recycling.Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tool storage and supply restocking.Follow preventive maintenance protocols and report equipment issues promptly.Qualifications:Ability to read and interpret production paperwork, blueprints, and spec sheets.Comfortable with basic mechanical tasks, machine setup, and tool use.Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.Skilled in the safe use of impact drivers, hand tools, and lifting equipment.Wausau Tile is an Equal Opportunity Employer and an Affirmative Action Plan Employer.
