Job summary

Wausau Tile is seeking a RotoForm Machine Operator to join our production team in Rothschild, WI. This role sets up, operates, and maintains semi-automated plastic molding equipment to produce site furniture and accessories.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-focused, and committed to safety. You will prepare molds, run full molding cycles, inspect parts, and keep a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Ability to read production paperwork, blueprints, and specs.
• Comfort with basic mechanical tasks and machine setup.
• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
• Skilled in safe use of impact drivers, hand tools, and lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Machine & mold setup per daily production schedules.
• Operate the RotoForm machine through full molding cycles.
• Measure and pour plastic powder or granules into molds.
• Secure mold closures using cordless or pneumatic tools.
• Demold and inspect finished plastic components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and report issues.

Position Summary: Wausau Tile is currently seeking a RotoForm Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and upkeep of semi-automated plastic molding equipment used to produce high-quality plastic site furniture and accessories. Ideal candidates will be mechanically inclined, detail-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine & Mold Setup: Review daily production schedules and job specifications.
• Select appropriate molds, tools, jigs, and materials.
• Secure molds to rotating machine arms using hand tools.
• Inspect and adjust molds as needed prior to production start-up.

• Production Operation: Operate the RotoForm machine through full molding cycles (heating, rotating, and cooling).
• Accurately measure and pour plastic powder or granules into molds.
• Secure mold closures using cordless or pneumatic tools.
• Monitor process timing and conditions to maintain product consistency and quality.
• Demold and inspect finished plastic components.

• Secondary Duties: Perform minor modifications or light assembly using hand or pneumatic tools.
• Cut excess plastic using a band saw and process scrap via pneumatic chipper for recycling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tool storage and supply restocking.
• Follow preventive maintenance protocols and report equipment issues promptly.
