Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our Midland, TX operations. You will diagnose and repair gas compression equipment, lead maintenance activities, and ensure high mechanical availability while supporting safety and operational procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, SSE program familiarity, and 5+ years of field experience with gas processes and electrical troubleshooting. A valid driver's license and strong English skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SSE program completion plus 3+ years in intermediate Field Technician role.
• 5+ years in gas processes, compression, and related equipment.
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills and equipment knowledge.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer focus.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR; read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and performs job activities per Kodiak goals.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Mentor and lead in the area; maintain 98% or better mechanical availability.
• Provide input for area budgeting and parts planning with Supply Chain.
• Ensure 24/7 coverage; participate in on-call rotations and overtime.
• Maintain clean, presentable units and complete required reports.
