Job summary

Conti Federal is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations, coordinating with the Project Management team to deliver safe, high-quality, and profitable projects. The role includes safety leadership, scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor management on federally funded sites.

The candidate will manage diverse teams, enforce EM385-1-1 safety standards, and drive project milestones while optimizing resources and maintaining client relations. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of supervisory experience in the construction industry with increasing responsibility in the Federal marketplace.
• Federal government experience preferred.
• Must have experience leading complex construction projects and coordinating with diverse teams.
• Extensive knowledge of sitework, utilities, concrete, structural steel, interiors, MEP, etc.
• Working knowledge of USACE EM385-1-1 safety requirements and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Enforces all safety policies and addresses safety violations among employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Completes the project using the Quality Management System.
• Sets production objectives with trade partners and ensures they are communicated and enforced.
• Leads project scheduling with the Project Manager and updates milestones monthly.
• Develops Three Week Look Ahead, 4-6 Week Make Ready, and 12 Week Long Range plans weekly.
• Implements cost-control measures to maximize profits across labor, materials, and equipment.
• Builds a high-performance team through interviewing, mentoring, and retention of top performers.
• Collaborates with trade partners on planning, resourcing, workmanship quality, and safety.
• Works with foremen on planning, surveying, plan reading, efficiency, crew sizing, and safety.
• Attends daily huddles to communicate and resolve issues for efficiency and profitability.
• Maintains extensive knowledge of subcontract operational details and enforces contracts and company specs.
• Ensures an efficient equipment fleet and promotes care for assets.
• Seeks new work opportunities through client relationships.
• Other duties as assigned.
