Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Operations Specialist to rotate across multiple manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate with Regional Directors to drive manufacturing excellence, coach floor teams, and implement lean practices on-site and off-site.

The role targets high-potential professionals from outside the manufactured housing industry, with significant travel and exposure to continuous improvement initiatives leading toward regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4–8 years in manufacturing/operations or production leadership in a high-volume environment outside manufactured housing.
• Practical experience with Lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, Kaizen, line balancing, and continuous improvement tools.
• Proven ability to coach frontline employees, supervisors, and plant leaders without direct reporting authority.
• Ability and willingness to travel regionally up to 50%–80%, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Regional Directors to improve operational performance across multiple facilities.
• Spend at least 50% of field time on the manufacturing floor coaching teams on workflow, pacing, labor utilization, and standard work.
• Apply Lean sequencing, 5S, visual management, error proofing, cycle-time balancing, and standardized work to off-site operations.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks affecting line velocity, throughput, and schedule adherence through root cause analysis.
• Strengthen in-process quality controls and defect containment with a customer-first mindset.
• Coach Production Managers and plant leaders on labor management and daily production execution.
• Focus on real-time coaching and hands-on problem solving over administrative auditing.
• Progress from supporting projects to leading plant turnarounds and regional improvements.
