Job summary

ASRC Federal Communications is seeking a Network Support Technician for our ISS2 contract supporting the Air Force. This position is located on Eareckson Air Station (EAS) in Alaska and follows a 3 months on-site / 1 month off rotation.

Housing is provided in a dormitory facility, meals are furnished, and government-sponsored transport is available from Anchorage. The role requires installing, configuring and troubleshooting PCs and network devices, managing AD and network services, and

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of computer/help desk experience.
• Two (2) years’ experience in maintenance, repair and installation of computer and network cabling/wiring.
• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Training (IAT) Level I and II certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Security and data protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manages user accounts and system resources using Active Directory for local company network.
• Troubleshoots JBER NIPR/SIPR network issues and coordinates with JBER network teams.
• Installs and configures network operating systems and hardware.
• Maintains network LAN/WAN configurations and security.
• Responds to customer requests via phone, email, or in person.
